In my free time, I love to create, craft, and code, especially with my family. I am a firm believer that you are never too old to learn (or build with LEGO).

Experience and Education

In addition to running Betsy Minton Tech, I work part-time as a STEM educator at Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT. Prior to starting Betsy Minton Tech, I worked at Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, a Pre-K/3 through 12th-grade independent school. My role there was multifaceted, but my most recent focus was helping students and teachers use technology effectively to enhance the academic experience. During my time at Episcopal, I was responsible for enriching instruction by generating interdisciplinary curriculum, spearheading hands-on, project-based learning, and supporting faculty in applying education standards in innovative and creative ways.  I also taught coding and robotics to intermediate-grade students.

Education: I hold a Bachelor of Science from Bates College and a Master of Arts in Computing in Education, part of the Communication, Media, and Learning Technologies Design program at Teachers College, Columbia University. I have also completed additional non-degree graduate coursework in special education, educational technology, and reading instruction.
